Upward Bound is a college preparatory program designed to help young people in learn skills they need and get motivated for success in college after finishing high school.
During the school year, the Academic Advisors and Coordinators visit students at their schools twice per month to provide help and guidance with any problems students may be having. Tutors are available to students both during and after school, as needed. Upward Bound students come to the Southeast Campus each month to attend an intensive academic session providing extra instruction, tutoring, and workshops.
During the six-week summer residential program, Upward Bound students will live in dorms and attend classes. Classes are offered in math, science, literature, grammar, computers, foreign languages, and more. Upward Bound students will also have the chance to have fun with each other, see new places, and create new cultural experiences during the summer.
