Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College has been educating the citizens of Southeast Kentucky for over 50 years. What began as a one building campus in Cumberland has developed into a multi-county service area with additional campuses in Harlan, Middlesboro, Pineville and Whitesburg. In 2011, SKCTC was ranked in the top 10 percent of the best community colleges in the nation by the renowned Aspen Institute College Excellence Program. This honor is a testament to the teaching and administrative excellence of staff and faculty, the perseverance of our students, and the thousands of donors who have invested in SKCTC for many years. The College’s academic and cultural enrichment programs touch the lives of nearly everyone in Southeast Kentucky whether they are a student, an alumnus, parent of a student or graduate, a participant in a community event, or a business that depends on the College to provide skilled workers.
While Southeast faces the challenge of shrinking public funding, it continues to offer the best in programs and services so that our people can build better lives for themselves and their families.
